This hand-crafted pillow was designed by a local Chicago artist and textile historian who lovingly repurposes the vintage fabrics, garments and embroidery fragments she collects during her travels. Down-filled and backed with off-white linen, this charming throw pillow is sewn from vintage French cotton ticking, a type of tightly-woven cloth traditionally used to cover mattresses of straw, chaff or down. The textile is patterned with broad vertical stripes, woven with a subtle gradient of sherbet-orange to crème white.
