A Fabulous 19th Century Large French Hand-Woven Cashmere Shawl. This square shawl is a rare find, featuring a rich burgundy border that encases a bright mustard-colored center, drawing the eye in and captivating the senses. But it is the intricate details that truly make this shawl stand out, with botanically inspired scrolls and motifs that weave their way from the edging towards the center, tying the border with the central square in a mesmerizing dance of artistry and precision. The gorgeous botanical scrolls and intricate details culminate in a flurry of scrolls, swirls, and stylized flowers that reach into the center without quite touching.
