Cast Aluminum and Wood Coffee Table Set by Sergio Vulpe
Located in Burlăceni, Cahul District
Charred Wood and Cast Aluminum Coffee Table by Sergio Vulpe — Brutalist Sculptural Design This conceptual coffee table is an original collectible piece by Sergio Vulpe, created in his VulpeConcept studio as part of an experimental series exploring the tension between fire and metal, nature and structure. The top is handcrafted from solid wood and charred using a refined version of the traditional Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technique. The burning reveals the inner grain, giving each surface a deeply tactile, one-of-a-kind texture. The legs are sculpted in raw cast aluminum using solid metal molds. Unpolished and untreated, they retain the brutalist character of the material — strong, unrefined, and architectural. Born on the periphery of the former Soviet Union, Vulpe draws inspiration from its forgotten industrial aesthetics: rough surfaces, stark contrasts, and purposeful form. This table embodies a dialogue between past and present, hand and fire, steel and soul. Each stage — from wood shaping to aluminum casting — is done entirely by hand. Not mass-produced, but forged as an art piece where identity, memory, and material collide. Tags: brutalist coffee table, charred wood furniture...

Materiality Vol. 1: Side Table Stool by Eduard Locota. Acrylic Glass Bronze
By Eduard Locota
Located in Timisoara, RO
MATERIALITY series represents the thinnest line between sculpture and design. TECHNICAL DATA: Each piece is entirely made by hand by Eduard Locota himself, from acrylic glass cold cast bronze. Each artwork is accompanied with a certificate of authenticity signed and dated by the artist. Made to order; build process takes 4-6 weeks; please allow extra time for custom orders (colors can be customized upon request). Every object has his own persona and is entirely made by hand using similar techniques used in metal casting. We have literally endless color combinations, and each color accentuates the different personalities of the objects. Dimensions: l 47 cm / w 46 cm / h 42cm Ultra limited edition of 12 + 4 ap. * shipping worldwide: all our artworks are insured and packed in a custom-made wooden box. * dimensions may vary 1 – 2 cm. FEW WORDS FROM THE ARTIST: “I left on the surface of the object the imprints of my own fingers, of my hands, as well as the strikes and marks left by the actual tools used to shape the work. Later on, i took molds of my hands, fingers and of the tools that were actually used in the making of this unique piece, and duplicated them in cold cast bronze to complete the artistic statement.” For this set of works, the synthetic materials were chosen rationally in order to explain both the physical and conceptual materiality of the theme. Though, exactly the opposite for our case, the common perception of any synthetic material is usually disposable, mass-produces and low-grad. This gives birth to a discussion about the ethical value of synthetic materials and man’s ability to perceive it culturally. The story of the transformation of matter into an object, about the transformation of the object into a good, about the monetization of the good. PLASTIC CONCEPT: From the oldest of times, our species has experienced a strong symbiosis with matter. Humans have learned to model matter, turned it into tools, and then used it to create objects. The man of the 21st century has shaped the Anthropocene era to his liking; and plasticized it to his own mirror. The project called materiality, is centered around the last geological era, popularly known as the plastic age...

Caverna Contemporary Sculpture, by Eduard Locota resin Acrylic Glass Marble
By Eduard Locota
Located in Timisoara, RO
The sculptural group “Abstract Isometry” has been gravitating around the theme of fragmentation, slicing of the Earth and plasticity. In the contemporary context, channeled almost exclusively on our natural resources, once abundant natural resources such as fossil fuel, water and even clean oxygen, become rare commodities. In the current context focused on excessive and unsustainable consumerism, the 21st century welcomes us with a Darwinian transformation for both men and nature. Evolution which leads to the development of a synthetic man living in a synthetic nature. Heavy topics as regeneration and sustainable environment are thrown into the arms of the future generations, that have not been born yet. Thus, the artist’s creations highlight the synthesis through alternative materials used, such as: synthetic marble (resin and marble dust), synthetic resin (Plexiglass), synthetic cement (Jesmonite), charcoal, wood, and so on. His works have a powerful conceptual plasticity but also physical plasticity, a concept that can be interpreted as modern works of the 21st century. Unique Because the artwork is entirely handcrafted and made to order; build process takes approximately 3-4 weeks for each artwork. Every artwork is hand-sculpted, molded and finished by hand by the artist himself. Because of this special build process, there will be small differences between every edition, thus unique, unique in the world. In addition to the artists signature on the piece of art, you will receive a “Certificate of Authenticity” signed and dated by Eduard Locota himself. Sculptural design piece, that will last for hundreds if not thousands of years. Memorable We here present you a contrasting composition with a memorable design. This extremely clean and Minimalist artwork produce the strong recognizable style of Eduard Locota that will lights up the space it will be placed in, as well as lift the eyebrows of the audience. Ultra limited edition of 19 pieces + 2AP. Acrylic glass and cultured marble...

Outstanding Floral Bessarabian Kilim with Light Green Border, 19th Century
Located in San Francisco, CA
Outstanding Floral Bessarabian Kilim with Light Green Border, Mid-19th Century Pile carpets and flat-weaves known in the market as 'Bessarabian' were woven mostly in the 19th century in what are now the countries of Romania, Moldova, and Ukraine—along the northwestern coastal areas of the Black Sea (in eastern Europe). Both pile and Kilim types use floral subject matter and a distinct coloration, with a dominant dark ground and accents in rose reds. This older Bessarabian flat-weave uses a red derived from imported cochineal and adds a pleasing complimentary contrasting light green border, a feature lost in later examples. Planted flower pots...
