Oversized Vintage Rabat Moroccan Rug, Hotel Lobby Size Carpet
By Rabat Village Women
Located in Dallas, TX
77201 Oversized Vintage Moroccan Rug, 13'10 x 18'07.
Representing an exclusive category of Moroccan carpets and a sign of wealth, this palatial Rabat Moroccan rug is a captivating vision of woven beauty. The detailed tribal design and vibrant colorway woven into this piece work together to. Clevery composed and colorfully curated, this oversized vintage Moroccan rug features six superimposed stepped diamond-shaped medallions in bright lime, sunflower yellow and tomato red spread across a creamy-biege field. A variety of ambiguous tribal symbols decorate the field between the medallions, including combs and burdocks. Combs and darts grace the corner spandrels, while stepped hexagons with diamond centers line the edges. The attractive border echoes the graphic designs of the central area and features fetter motifs in alternating colors separated by thin bars with diamond end-caps. Fetters traditionally symbolize family union, while combs, diamonds, and burdocks are seen to protect against evil. Not exactly subtle but enough to make a statement, this colorful Moroccan rug is charming and fun.
Unlike most other Moroccan rugs, Rabat city rugs exhibit Anatolian designs and influence, though it is unclear how these designs came to Morocco many centuries ago. According to Indianapolis Museum of Arts, The Fabric of Moroccan Life, the women weavers of Rabat tell a legend that one day 'a stork dropped into the courtyard of a house a piece of rug- whose colors and design were hitherto unknown in the land- the women weavers of the house saw it as a gift from heaven, a talisman, and a good omen, and so were inspired by it. The people of Rabat consider wool to be as precious as gold and a variety of rituals surround the making of their rugs. They are known to be able to create bright and saturated polychromatic color schemes with a narrow palette.
Perfect for a large entertaining space, hotel lobby, lounge area, drawing room, country club, academic library, golf locker room, trophy room, private Chambers, great room, wine cellar, executive suite, conservatory, state room, royal suite, billiards room, owners retreat, dining room, living room, or formal sitting room. Rustic yet refined, this oversized Moroccan rug would complement mountain living for luxury ski chalets, secluded hunting lodges and rustic ranches found in Montana, Colorado, Lake Tahoe, Wyoming, or the Adirondacks.
Rendered in variegated shades of beige, red, blue, green, amethyst, and yellow with other accent colors.
Tag on the back reads: Morocco, Rabat.

Vintage Berber Moroccan Boucherouite Rug with Modern Bohemian Style
By Berber Tribes of Morocco
Located in Dallas, TX
21607 Vintage Berber Boucherouite Moroccan Rag Rug 03'00 x 05'11. Alive with untamed vibrancy and soulful artistry, this vintage Boucherouite Moroccan rug stands as a testament to ingenuity, resilience, and cultural prestige. Hand knotted from repurposed textiles by Berber women, each precious fiber captures a fragment of history, transformed into a jubilant symphony of color. No two Boucherouite rugs are alike—each is a singular expression of freedom and imagination, making this a piece a true rarity reserved for connoisseurs of the extraordinary.
Flashes of crimson, indigo, emerald, and saffron erupt across a kaleidoscopic ground, forming abstract lozenges, signature diamonds, and enigmatic motifs that carry symbolic echoes of protection, fertility, and joy. The unrestrained palette celebrates improvisation while embodying a deeper philosophy: that beauty can be born from scarcity, and luxury can emerge from sustainability.
Owning such an exquisite work of art is not simply an acquisition but an embrace of cultural legacy and social good. Revered today in elite design circles, Boucherouite rugs have moved from humble origins to commanding spaces in the world’s most refined interiors. This exceptional masterpiece, with its striking intensity and tactile richness, offers not just a floor covering, but a cherished treasure—an emblem of rarity, status, and visionary taste.
Uniquely woven with recycled materials, such as cotton and wool, these Boucherouite Moroccan rugs display a colorful boho...

Moroccan Vintage Tamgroute Green Olive Jar with Handles
By Berber Tribes of Morocco
Located in Moreno Valley, CA
Moroccan vintage, 1960's green olive jar, or planter with handles.
Handcrafted by the berber people in Tamgroute Morocco.
Great glazed earthenware with different hues of green and black.
A pair is available, slightly different glaze,
Top diameter is 10" inside opening is 7" D.
Jar is 38" H x 20" D in the widest part.
Wonderful green and brown shimmering that can be found only in south Morocco in the village of Tamgroute.
The color and texture is a result of the particular alchemy created by the potters of Tamegroute and remains a family affair handed down through the generations.
Each pottery piece is completely unique and no two are ever the same.
Please note that the traditional method in which the plates are fired involves stacking which result in tiny ‘scars’ inside the plate and in the glaze making, each bowl is unique the beauty is found in the imperfection of each piece.
Tamegroute pottery are true showpieces showing that even imperfect can be perfect.
Tamegroute remains the only rural pottery in Morocco using oxidized copper which creates its famous green color.
Its potteries are also the only location where you will find their unique forms.
The process however remains much the same. Clay is dug up from the local Draa river banks, thrown by hand & fired inkilns built into steep slopes using a single firing.
Vintage green glazed pottery...

Ruler Selenite with an 18th Century Italian Sunray
Baroque Pearls on Lucite
By Interi
Located in Dublin, Dalkey
Ruler Selenite with an 18th century Italian gold leaf molding and a natural forming baroque pearl on a lucite base. Ruler selenite or "selenite logs" are single, prismatic selenite crystals from Morocco that were formed in extensive beds by the evaporation of ocean brine. This mineral is characterized by a silky, pearly luster called satin spare. It is then adorned with gold leaf wood molding and the baroque pearl which coordinate beautifully with the sleek selenite.
The piece is put together by Jean O'Reilly Barlow, the artist and creative director of Interi. The date of manufacture reflects when she created the piece but the Italian fragment sunray is originally 18th century.

The potters of northern Morocco perpetuate the ancient art of modeled pottery, which first appeared around 6,000 BC. The techniques and patterns used today are very close to those of their origins.
