A good old example of the very popular Bakhtiari 'garden design' Each of the lozenge shaped compartments contains a stylized tree or shrub, many of the trees have small birds in them
Circa 1900/20
The rug is well drawn with excellent colours giving it a warm feel, the use of ivory for some of the lozenges gives the rug strong visual interest
The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display
