Antique Baluch rug, with scarce white ground stripe design
Circa 1900
An interesting rug with a design related to those found on Ersari chuval and sleeping rugs The alternating stripes of white and madder red contain a repeat bar and star design The border is the classic Baluch boat border
The rug is in fair condition with wear and medium / low pile, the rug is fine with a soft floppy handle
Hand washed and ready for use or display Suitable for light domestic use
