About the Item
With the more closely covered red field characteristic of later examples of the ”American Sarouk” genre, this solidly woven carpet features a wide variety of detached floral sprays accented in straw, cream, green, navy and dark blue. Navy border closely filled with various small petal rosettes and five-flower short stems. This characteristic west Persian village carpet is in good condition with a medium weave on cotton.
