About the Item

Vintage Ettore Sottsass design fine wool carpet executed by Tisca, hand made in France. Tisca carpets are described as poetry for the feet, rightly so, as the thick, lush 100% wool surface will have your toes singing its praises. Hand made and one-of-a-kind. Lovely color scheme in elegant muted tones of pale blue, gray and teal. Very good condition commensurate with age, one very small, barely discernable spot of discoloration, please see photo detail, wonderful pile and texture, tone is even. Geometric design similar to the Claire de Lune totem designed by Ettore Sottsass. Likely circa 1987 when Sottsass revised his focus to working on international architectural commissions as well as collaborations with Gallery Mourmans, Maastricht and Galerie Bischofberger, Zurich.
