About the Item

This Persian Tabriz hand-knotted rug is made from the finest hand-carded, hand-spun wool and distinguished by its excellent weave, and by the remarkable adherence to the classical traditions of Persian rug design. The city of Tabriz, in northwest Iran was the earliest capital of the Safavid dynasty. It has been the center of carpet production longer than any other city in Iran. The carpets woven in this area preserve the highest technical standards, have the most variety, and what sets them apart from other Persian rugs is their quality. Custom sizes and colors available.
