About the Item
The Talish territory is located in the south-eastern part of the Caucasus, near the Caspian Sea, to the borders with Persia. The main features of the talish carpets are the elongated format and a relatively narrow central field, often as wide as the border. They also have a relatively high soft wool fleece with velvet shine. Measures: 272 x 102 cm.
Yellow Talish as ours is very rare. The main red border accentuates the hot tone of the central field. A two-coloured lozenge lattice contains the ancient symbol of the "Boteh". Classic the main frame on a red brick background decorated with large rosettes at eight lobes. The secondary borders are decorated, one with star elements, the other is decorated with small flowers on a green background. From manual, it is finally the outer closure with the MEDACYL, the reciprocated arrow tip motif, in black and blue.
