About the Item
An outstanding antique Fachralo Kazak rug woven in the Caucasus mountains of modern day Georgia circa 1880. The rug features a floating Mihrab or prayer design on a fabulous terracotta red field and saffron border. Full chunky pile, lovely wool quality and bold, natural dyed colours of blues, greens and golds. Full of charm and character and rarely seen in this condition!
Size: 2.48m x 1.30m (8ft 2in x 4ft 3in)
This rug is in excellent, original condition with very light wear and full pile. Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
