About the Item

By having its size previously adjusted, this antique Kazak rug displays an unusual two-medallion design. Here two emerald green polygonal devices dominate the terracotta background, which is sparsely embellished by small diamonds, eight-pointed stars as well as different stylised animals. The main white border contains an unusual cartouche motif, while the outer border is distinguished by its vivid yellow background, which is a trait of Caucasian rugs of earlier vintage.
