About the Item
Antique Caucasian Qarabagh rugs of this type were always highly appreciated for their aristocratic refinement, and are found gracing the floors of the most important mansions around the world. This elegant runner, finely knotted in wool with a coral pink background, obtained by colouring the wool with a precious insect dye called cochineal, is embellished by a filigree-like, infinite repeat Persianate pattern called herati, consisting of clusters of small stylised leafs similar to small fish. A rug of noble and understated elegance, which will surely add a touch of timeless beauty in any kind of interior.
