In this listing you will find a stunning little Antique Shahsavan kilim or flat-woven rug. The intricate geometric patterns are characteristic of the region. The rug features a striped design with repeating geometric motifs in colors such as red, navy blue, white, and orange. These motifs are characteristic of tribal and nomadic weaving traditions of Caucasus. Estimated age of the piece is the end of the 19th century.
The kilim is in good condition.
