About the Item
This authentic antique Kazak rug showcases the timeless artistry of Caucasian tribal weaving. Hand-knotted from wool, the rug features a series of three prominent central medallions set against a rich, multi-tonal field of terracotta orange, golden ochre, and deep indigo. The field is beautifully textured with natural abrash, giving the colors a painterly depth that only age and traditional dyeing can produce. The geometric motifs, including "running dog" borders and stylized floral elements, make it an ideal statement piece for Mid-Century Modern, Transitional, or Eclectic interiors.
