Handwoven in the Caucasus, this vintage Armenian Soumak rug showcases an extraordinary level of craftsmanship and storytelling. Its field is packed with intricate repeating motifs in deep burgundy, navy blue, honey gold, soft camel, and ivory, all arranged in an almost tapestry-like pattern. The borders are a highlight on their own — a procession of stylized birds, geometric rosettes, and traditional Armenian motifs, each one meticulously woven in the Soumak (weft-wrapping) technique.
This flatweave feels both historic and decorative, radiating old-world charm while remaining incredibly versatile. Whether styled as an accent piece, a statement wall hanging, or a small area rug, it brings depth, culture, and texture to any space.
