About the Item

Hand-knotted tribal rug of probable Caucasian or Persian tribal origin (area between South Caucasus and Luristan), made around 1950s-70s. The central design features stylized trees and floral medallions, framed by multiple borders rich in geometric patterns. The weave is strong, made of wool on warp and weft probably cotton or raw wool. The warm colors-rust red, deep blue, ivory, and ochre-are obtained with traditional dyes, and show slight variations typical of handwork (abrash). Its small size (152 × 92 cm) makes it ideal for small rooms, entryways or as a decorative wall element. It shows signs of use consistent with age and a period repair to the bangs made with original technique. An authentic and vibrant rug, perfect for rustic, boho settings or for collectors of tribal textiles. Contact us for additional information. Worldwide shipping available
