This vintage, circa 1938, Karabagh runner has a charcoal-black field with vertical rows of linked lozenge trellis together with plain terracotta-red outer stripes each lozenge containing a terracotta-pink acanthus leaf, in a golden-yellow border of delicate linked terracotta-pink floral sprays issuing from a small diamond lozenge inner buff-brown floral vine stripe.
