The brick ground is closely covered by a lattice of ivory and dark blue which flows easily around three columns of characteristic Turkman nomadic guls in ivory, apricot and dark blue. The white zig-zag of the main border is particularly appealing as a frame. The background pattern of the field is particularly rare for Ersari Afghan carpets.
