This piece is a rare antique Tekke carpet with delightful colors. The field consists of a chocolate brown color, while the motifs consist of red, ivory, dark gray and charcoal. Tribal shapes can be seen in the additional expansive area below the lowest border. Tekke rugs are mostly found in small sizes and the exquisite quality of this carpet, especially considering its age, contributes to its rarity.
