A very fine and early Afshar tribal rug, distinguished by a highly elegant ascending pattern of polychrome cypress trees set against an indigo blue background. This glorious example features a full range of remarkably sparkling yet patinated colours, characteristic of the oldest vintage of Afshar tribal weavings. A true collectible rug which is also extremely decorative.
