Originating from Turkestan circa 1920-1930, this antique Khotan rug s a features a medallion pattern that stands secured in an all over geometric design accompanied with elegant flowers scattered on the scale. The 6x11 masterpiece revels on a forgiving beige background to support brown and near-black tones with highlights of gold and white for a touch of opulence. Amongst many other symbols lining the border, connoisseurs may note the prevalence of a distinguished Khotan symbol—the pomegranate tree that beacons prosperity.
