This new, post-1990 Afghan Moroccan–style rug is a hand-knotted wool piece produced in Afghanistan using contemporary workshop construction. Executed in an oversize / palace format, it measures approximately 10 ft 6 in × 13 ft 11 in (about 3.2 × 4.05 meters), covering 13.094 square meters. The rug falls into a Class 3 wool mid-pile category, offering substantial visual and physical presence while remaining manageable in weight. A woven cotton warp-and-weft foundation supports an 8 mm cut wool pile designed for modern residential use.
The design is allover and borderless, favoring an uninterrupted field rather than a traditional framed layout. Abstract, minimalist linework appears sparingly across the surface, rendered at a large scale with a freehand, sketch-like quality. Motifs are intentionally irregular and loosely symmetrical along a vertical axis, creating a modern, architectural rhythm.
