76628, distressed antique Afghani rug with Adirondack Lodge Style 02'11 x 03'10. This hand knotted wool distressed antique Afghani rug features a large-scale lozenge composed of four petaled flowers alternating with curved sickle leaves and surrounded byan eight-point stars. The inside of the lozenge medallion is filled with ancient tribal motifs. Latch-hooks and saw-tooth create a hexagonal field and form four corner spandrels which are adorned with a large rosette, three crosses, five T-shaped Ram's Horn motifs, and a chevron wavelength. Enhanced by its distressed composition and waves of abrash sweeping across the field, this antique Afghanistan rug beautifully displays worn-in charm with an intimate patina. Perfect for an entry, foyer, kitchen, stair landing, home office, man cave, private library, trophy room, bedroom, studio, study, loft, lounge, and sitting room or it would make an excellent an accent piece for a parlor, living room, dining room, front room, great room, state room, or drawing room.
