Hand-knotted circa 1900, this rug features a rare, subtly intricate allover pattern composed of stylized rosettes, cloud motifs, and meandering floral vines arranged in diamond-shaped grid formations. These recurring elements evoke the symmetrical structure of Persian gardens while resonating with traditional Chinese auspicious symbolism.
Its color palette is an elegant and restrained harmony of warm ochres, golden wheat, soft tobacco, and aged rose, all mellowed by time into a luminous patina.
