About the Item
A very finally knotted Afshar tribal rug, distinguished by an indigo blue background layered over a richly coloured reserve consisting of polychrome stripes. The vivid palette of natural dyes is highlighted by the use of a very high quality, silky wool, that is predominantly intact. The condition is original, with good overall pile, complete side selvedges and polychrome flat woven ends. There are no repairs of any kind. This Afshar is both of collectible quality as well as very decorative. It's a rug that expresses great happiness and will bring a joyful mood in any interior.
