About the Item
A very fine example of Kashan weaving, distinguished by a royal blue background embellished by a polylobed central medallion with elaborate pendants, surrounded by a plethora of palmettes of different shapes connected by a thin vine as well as quarter medallion motifs in the corners. Kashan rugs are renown for the exquisite quality of the wool employed for the pile, which is typically lustrous and very hard-wearing. A scatter rug of the more traditional yet timeless style that is ideal for high traffic areas such as entry halls, but which can be also the perfect accent rug to use next to precious piece of furniture.
