A very finely woven Sarouk Ferahan rug, decorated by a medallion and pendants pattern on a dark rose background. Ferahan Sarouks are representative of a classic group of turn of the century examples in Persianate patterns from the Arak region. The extremely fine knotting allows the careful execution of minute botanical patterns, typically rendered in pastel colours.
