This rather large tribal Turkmen carpet presents three columns of five octagonal, quartered emblematic “Ongurghe” guls on a brownish field, within a deep border system including two similar surrounds of chain of full ashiks and half ashik side fillers, in an all wool construction in a coarse/moderate weave. This exceptionally large nomadic piece is in good condition with a deeply earth tone palette.
