Kilim’s collection of rare classics.
On the Design:
This rug is one of the most rare works of its provenance we’ve seen as a few remain today in this spacious large size. In this piece, a deep royal blue field underscores floral patterns and old-world motifs in beige, gold, and green tones. Keen eyes will further admire butterfly pictorials among the many motifs at play—often meant to symbolize marital bliss among the most popularized interpretations of the motif in Oriental rugs—a rarity speaking to the collectible nature and unique charm of this piece.
