Inspired by an 18th century Spanish pattern, this modern wool and silk rug features a Catana design, characterized an uncommon combination of large scale repetition and unique border. Hand knotted in high-quality wool and naturally shining silk, the green desert floral Catana emblem repeats in four distinct rows against the deeper beige background, both colorways playing into an immersive reference to the desert. Unique to this design, also, is the presence of a wrapping border intercepting one side of the vertical motifs for a dimensional, entirely individual modern portrait, a seldom-seen feature emboldening the finesse of this area piece.
