On the Design:
“Rez Kilim” represents a contemporary homage to Turkish and Persian panel-weaving styles in a textural approach to minimalist rugs. This piece features a beautiful interplay of bold red horizontal stripes, complemented by black and subtle beige vertical stripes, and further enhanced by similar accents in the weft and the stitching between the panels (or columns). Admirers of the craft will appreciate the way the fundamentals of a traditional flatweaving style have been reimagined in an almost impressionistic look at geometry, ribbing, and the subtleties of a Kilim.
