Kilim—one of its earliest works, inspired by antique Aubusson rugs and tapestries.
On the design:
Keen eyes may further admire especially present tones of creamy beige and brown tones underscore floral patterns in the field and border alike, favoring sage and teal green at play with rust tones and rich reds. Admirers of the craft will note this piece is among a special handful from the Chinese revival of this style—particularly the 18th century French aesthetic which R&K Principal Jahanshah Nazmiyal hails among the most sophisticated weaving styles of history.
