Kilim’s Classic collection and enjoys a repeat of geometric patterns with Indo-Persian design influences.
On the Design:
This custom rug sample represents a carefully extracted corner section from a traditional Oriental carpet design, focusing on the intersection of border and field elements. The design is loosely inspired from Indo-Persian rugs of the most regal provenances and colors. It enjoys warm, earthy hues of beige-brown and chartreuse green with subtle pink accents. Keen eyes will admire the meticulous ram’s horn geometric patterns that can be likened to stylized architectural motifs—similar in sensibility to Greek Key patterns, and another time-honored symbol in tribal and primitivist rugs that’s touched countless weaving cultures. These sharp forms have been organized within rectangular compartments, creating a grid-like structure. Lending a bold dimension and air of culture, this is a smart piece with the most educated approach to recapturing a time-honored aesthetic in refined modern craftsmanship.
