Hand-knotted in wool and silk with our must luxurious Nepalese pile, this 9x13 modern rug from Rug Kilim’s European rug collection is entitled “Catana”, inspired by antique Italian rug designs and textiles. On the Design: An exciting addition to the collection, this piece draws inspiration from decorative Italian rugs from the late 19th to early 20th century period. The rich burgundy field sets the stage for the intricate gold medallions and borders, adding a touch of regal elegance to the rug. The fine detailing showcases the craftsmanship and attention to detail that define this modern European masterpiece. What makes it particularly exciting is this being from one of Jahanshah Nazmiyal’s earliest works in the collection featuring floral patterns.
