Kilim. This particular line features rugs with a play of both pile and flatweave together, with a subtle high-and-low element of almost ribbed texture.
On the Design:
This enjoys beige-brown, cream white and black hues in rows of stripes and large-scale “V”-shaped geometric patterns, all underscored with a subtly ribbed texture born of the pile-and-flatweave mixture’s natural high-low texture. While both contemporary in its quality and overall sensibility, admirers of the craft may appreciate an influence from Moroccan rugs in the large-scale geometry, textural element, and rather graphic presence this piece enjoys.
