This hand-knotted wool 12x15 rug is a new addition to the Moroccan rug collection by Rug
Kilim. Its design represents our modern take on primitivist Berber styles, and enjoys beige-brown undertones, off-white stripes and blue accents.
On the Design:
Admirers of the craft may appreciate the almost ribbed textural pile—inspired by Boucherties and similar African tribal weaving styles. Keen eyes will further admire the subtle striae in our blend of yarns, and the abrashed look it achieves. This evokes the rich look of vintage and antique Moroccans in their personal intricacies, yet still comfortable, cozy beauty. Here we honor the foundations of this style, and contribute a large size and durable high-end quality for today.
