Kilim’s Modern Classics collection is a 8x10 pictorial rug—a contemporary resurrection of one of the most collectible primitivist styles.
On the Design:
This piece depicting horses in a gallop is inspired by Gabbeh tribal rugs and similar, rare forms of Persian folk art. Its pictorials depict triplets of running horses in beige and brown, orange and pink tones on a beige field. Keen eyes will further admire the striae of yarns that achieves an abrashed, textural look in the field and pattern colorway. It’s an immersive high-end take on a revered nomadic antique rug style of graphic beauty and dramatic presence. This one-of-a-kind rug has both a dramatic air yet a comfortable, country charm in its colors.
