Kilim presents this 4x5 addition to the team’s classically inspired Tigers Collection.
On the Design: This particular work is among those influenced by seldom-seen folk art drawings believed to have never been adapted to rugs (though connoisseurs may note the small size nods to the dimensions of antique tiger skin pieces one might find in similar Tibetan inspirations). This design is a pictorial representation enjoying an impressionist depiction of tigers and birds in golden-orange and black on a beige-brown backdrop. The meticulous striation lends a time-honored look while the colors are a more refined, yet elegant take. Among the most bold and graphic new offerings in our contemporary works, paying homage to the historic style with a sense of personality and regal attitude.
