Hand-knotted in wool, this 3x6 modern runner from our Tiger rug line in Homage collection, celebrates one of the most rare and treasured pictorial animal rug styles in history.
On the Design:
This geometric pictorial piece joins the latest additions to the Homage Collection by Rug
Kilim, an ambitious custom-capable approach to recapturing and reinventing an unprecedented range of international styles including Oriental patterns with fresh, European influences. It has been inspired by antique Oriental tiger skin runner rugs, those that combined the look of a pelt with dynastic symbols and yield one of the most fabulous interpretations of any pictorial rug style of any culture that continues to inspire us. A graphic nature like all in this collection but one of the most livable and comfortable ones, with the great balance of warm colors, repetition and little touches of the Chinese style that made these such noble pieces.
