This vintage 4x6 Bokhara tribal rug is among the most exciting new additions to Rug
Kilim’s Collection; from a newly curated line of unique pieces entering their vintage tenure, made with hand-knotted wool and originating from Pakistan circa 1970-1980.
On the Design:
This vintage design demonstrates exceptional compositional discipline through its systematic all-over pattern of repeating geometric medallions arranged in precise rows across the warm golden beige field. The signature gul motifs—stylized geometric forms—are rendered in gentle, complementary tones of soft pink, powder blue, and deep rose against the luminous ground, creating a subtle yet sophisticated visual rhythm. The medallions employ a structured diamond and stepped inner configuration. Secondary geometric elements fill the negative space, maintaining coherence and traditional tribal density. The rug is framed by multi-band borders featuring alternating motifs in contrasting shades of slate gray and deep rose.
