This vintage 4x6 Bokhara tribal rug is among the most exciting new additions to Rug
Kilim’s Collection; from a newly curated line of unique pieces entering their vintage tenure, made with hand-knotted wool and originating from Pakistan circa 1970-1980.
On the Design:
This vintage design demonstrates exceptional compositional discipline through its systematic all-over pattern of repeating Tekke gul medallions arranged in precise rows across the rich red field. The signature gul motifs—stylized geometric forms rendered in soothing tones of golden camel, soft beige, and deep navy blue—employ elaborate diamond and stepped cruciform configurations, achieving a stunning visual warmth against the saturated ground. Secondary geometric elements and compact diamond formations fill the negative space, maintaining coherence and traditional tribal density. The powerful red field and geometric repetition create a sense of timeless elegance, ideal for traditional interiors.
