Kilim’s Collection; from a newly curated line of unique pieces entering their vintage tenure, made with hand-knotted wool and originating from Pakistan circa 1970-1980.
On the Design:
This vintage design demonstrates exceptional compositional discipline through its systematic all-over pattern of repeating Tekke gul medallions arranged in precise rows across the distinctive soft sky blue field. The signature gul motifs—stylized geometric forms rendered in contrasting tones of deep salmon, muted gold, and olive green—employ elaborate diamond and stepped cruciform configurations, achieving a sophisticated and gentle visual appeal against the cool-toned ground. Secondary geometric elements and compact diamond formations fill the negative space, maintaining coherence and traditional tribal density.
