On the Design:
Keen eyes will observe beige underscoring colorful medallions in saturated, vibrant jewel tones with an especially present blue among the many at play. The rug is more colorful than many Hereke of its period, yet also more primitivist in its design - seeming to draw on a more archaic inspiration for such a young and playful piece.
