Kilim’s collection of rare classics.
On the Design:
Samarkand rugs are known for their unmistakably ornate look and this piece is just another example of fine craftsmanship. This is a beautifully aged piece that carries a warm, terracotta red field. Three large, stylized medallions run vertically down the center of the rug. These medallions, rendered in shades of grey and beige, feature a complex geometric pattern, resembling a stylized star or floral motif. Scattered throughout the field are smaller, delicate floral motifs in beige and a darker red hue. These floral elements add a touch of organic softness to the overall geometric design, creating a pleasing contrast. Existing in healthy condition, this is an exceptional piece well suited for any interior seeking distinction and classic appeal.
