On the Design:
As admirers of the craft may note in the medallions, this vintage rug is inspired by Khotan rug designs. The pattern carries resemblance with the fou/shou floral medallions in Khotan Samarkand rugs and similar Buddhist, Chinese and other provenances.
In this gorgeous and unusual adaptation of the style, one may observe a pale green field - seldom seen in Khotan gallery runners. Connoisseurs will appreciate the one of a kind vision of this piece and in a way that’s a hallmark of Müren’s unusual, collectible pieces
