This hand-knotted wool antique Chinese Peking rug features a rounded open medallion decorated with a large open lotus blossom, peonies, and leafy tendrils floating in the center of an abrashed taupe colored field. Additional peony and botanical motifs decorate the field, while delicate blooms and floral sprays emanate from the corners. Additional blossoms decorate the main border flanked with an inner secondary inner floral guard band. A beautiful color combination, intricate detailing, and an elegant composition all come together to create a lovely antique Chinese rug that bring timeless sophistication to any interior. Rendered in variegated shades of taupe, tan, indigo, sand, navy blue, ecru, ink blue, brown, royal blue, mauve, camel, rose, and greige with magenta accents.
