Chinese Ninghsia style “Hundred Antiques” carpet circa 1960. Measures 9.ft.6in. x 6ft. (290cm. x 183cm.) A central medallion surrounded by culturally significant objects: books, writing implements and other paraphernalia of the scholar's desk, all on a camel ground, stylized peonies and scroll borded with inner key-pattern in predominantly blue palette. Sculpted wool pile. Excellent condition.
