Hand-knotted carpet measuring 340 cm. x 242 cm. with high-quality wool.
This ochre-colored Chinese rug is a beautiful vintage piece; it is presented with a timeless elegance in which the warmth of the golden background evokes the earth and tradition. In the center of the carpet, a medallion depicting a traditional landscape with its pagoda houses, a small river flowing under a bridge and all surrounded by flowers and birds in flight stands out.
Scattered throughout the rest of the carpet, various blooming lotus flowers add a touch of natural beauty. Next to the flowers, there are depicted familiar objects, symbols of everyday life. All this with delicate colors of light blue, pink, green, and here and there you can see butterflies in flight The frame of the carpet, a wonderful deep blue, makes a perfect contrast with the ochre field, decorated with flowers, and the fuchsia-colored inner frame.
