This vintage Khotan rug has a warm-gray field with an overall design of shaded tomato red pomegranate vine issuing angular flowerheads, in a sandy-brown border of shaded apricot linked flowerheads, an inner border containing polychrome square linked panels, between chocolate-brown stripes. This rug is woven on brown wool weft, indicating it was made prior to 1880.
